A crisp and fresh style of Sylvaner, think green apple, cut grass and a touch of elderflower.  Very much a good introduction to Stefan’s style and what he thinks Franken should be making more of. Made in stainless steel with a short time in Stockinger barrels.

Working mostly with the regions historic grape, Sylvaner, Stefan makes many wines from his three tiny plots (just a few hectares in total). Each one expresses a different subsection and it's unique climate and soil. All wines have around 10% abv or less but due to very careful vineyard management, he still produces wines that are ripe, structured and very age worthy. In their youth, they feel pure and fresh, with green fruit, fresh grass and a slight hint of elderflower, confusingly delicate and yet concentrated. With age, they become something completely different. Rounder, longer, more complex and yet still brimming with life ten or more years later.
