A rare and refined expression of the Douro, Charme is Dirk Niepoort’s homage to elegance over power. Sourced from ancient, north-facing vineyards with vines over 100 years old, this wine is made with a gentle touch—whole-bunch fermentation in traditional lagares, followed by ageing in old Burgundy barrels. The result is Burgundian in spirit: light in colour, but intensely perfumed and complex. Expect red cherry, wild strawberry, dried rose, earthy spice, and silky, almost weightless tannins.
