A softness to the fruit, very pretty herbal aromas and beautiful balance that means the acidity is perseived as pure freshness. This is stunning. From the more limestone rich parcel in Hochstadt, as with all the cru wines, 2 years in barrel and then a year in bottle before release. The local climate is cooler than the more famed parcels of the Pfalz. 12 -15 months in oak barrel and then up to 9 months on the fine lees in steel.
