Showing the more earthly side of Barbera, the fruit is deep and dark with a tinge of ion and tar. The natural acidity of the wine gives it lift and keeps it very moreish. A really nice wine if you want something with nice depth that isn't too heavy. Grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in buckets. Spending 6 months in Grande Botti and then 6 months in concrete before being aged in bottle a further year.
