This super-tuscan is in a beautiful place right now. Black tea, violet and plums with a silky texture held up by some very fine tannins. Giacomo Mastretta took the role as winemaker at this small organic estate and the wines quickly gained a cult following before the estate was sold off a handful of years later. Taste the wines now (the small amount that is left of them) and you will see that something rather special happened here.
