Azay-le-Rideau is known for producing very mineral and fresh wines. Whilst chenin blanc is far more common here, they planted some Sauvignon as an experiment. The wine is lighter on the aromatics and has a lovely mouth watering finish. A beautiful wine as an aperitif and one that might even please those who steer clear of this classic variety.
