Although it may not be that well known, Nebbiolo is quite a common site in Sardinia, particularly in Mamoiada and also around the province of Olbia. You can expect something "Barrolo" like, as the name suggests, although it come with a little more warmth and ripeness from the island sun. The grape see a long maceration and then the wine is aged for a year in large botti. 700 bottles made.
