Few producers are as closely associated with their appellation as Auguste Clape is with Cornas. Drawn from old hillside vineyards and made in a style that has changed remarkably little over the decades, these wines have become a benchmark for traditional Northern Rhône Syrah. The 2016 combines the concentration and structure of a celebrated vintage with the savoury, mineral character that defines great Cornas, and still has many years ahead of it.
