Experimental cuvee created for the tenth anniversary of La Parcelle. The fourth of July marks the release date of their first ever bottling. Late harvest of young chardonnay vines in Barry and Meunier in Connigis. Manually destemmed, macerated and then pumped over twice a day in open oak vats. No additions. Only 300 bottles made.
With just 0.9 hectares under vine, spread over a few plots, the La Parcelle project is tiny but mighty. As viticulture advisers, Stephanie Chevreux and Julien Bournazel look after 180 hectares of vines within champagne. They work with both small growers and some of the larger houses, helping them improve farming practices by utilising biodynamic and permaculture practices. The wines are very special and will reliably impress anyone who opens a bottle.
