A historic red grape that dates back to the Roman times which is full of character and this might be our favourite vintage for this wine. Cesanese is not for the faint hearted, you can expect big spicy fruit, gamey / earthy flavours and a slight irony / bitter edge. It also has refreshing acidity and fine tannins and some how everything seems to work together, despite there being a lot going on. This is a wine for when you fancy going on a bit of a journey or you have some hearty flavours on the plate. 

Abbia Nova are a "farm first" kind of producer. Utilising methods of Biodynamics / Fukuoka / Homeopathic viticulture with the aim to produce fruit that is pure and speaks of the land it comes from. The grapes for this wine come from a single vineyard of 80 year old vines, planted on clay and limestone.
