Here, at \u003cstrong\u003e400 metres above sea level\u003c\/strong\u003e, we find Luca and Alfonso. Luca became inspired to work with wine after spending a vintage with fellow Winemakers Club producer, \u003cstrong\u003eFrancesco Guccione\u003c\/strong\u003e, in Sicily. He partnered with Alfonso, who has been farming in the region for many years and brings with him his great knowledge of the \u003cstrong\u003eterroir, local varieties and styles of wines\u003c\/strong\u003e. The project was started from scratch, sourcing a large portion of their vines from the cuttings of \u003cstrong\u003eEmidio Pepe’s old vineyard\u003c\/strong\u003e. Trebbiano and Montepulciano are planted, with the first vintage of \u003cstrong\u003ePecorino\u003c\/strong\u003e available on this release. In between and around the vines they also have olive groves, ancient grains and apiaries, trying at all times to keep a \u003cstrong\u003ebalance of biodiversity\u003c\/strong\u003e while producing their own pasta and honey. 2020\/21 has seen the construction of a \u003cstrong\u003enew winery\u003c\/strong\u003e for Luca and Alfonso.
